The Great Depression, take two?… NOT A GOOD THING…

I usually don’t partake in discussions that revolve around politics, however, after last nights debate and the passing of the “bailout” I feel obligated to do so!
Bottom-line, the government stepped in to aide in fixing a major economic nightmare! I for one say THANK YOU! Stop and ask yourself what would happen if the Government basically told us we were on our own with this GIANT grave we dug… we would be in a world of trouble and 1929 would have looked like a walk in the park! I am tired of the blame game & finger pointing. We all need to take a little responsibility for what has occurred and learn from our mistakes. Without the bail out we would have very little liquidity in our financial markets and without liquidity everything comes to a screeching halt!
Yes, the big banks in America should get more then a slap on the wrist for what they have done to aide in this economic crisis, however, as crazy as this may sound we need them to stay afloat in order to thrive financially. A slap on the wrist for the greater good is a necessary evil when it comes to this bail out. The Government is not just “bailing out” these banks, in many cases they are share holders holding an excess of 50% of company stock.
In closing, I can’t emphasize how important it is to educate yourself and become more aware of what is going on the big world. Ignorance is not always bliss and we can’t keep using that as an excuse. This is probably the most important election we have ever had or will have seen in our lives and it is time as Americans we do are due diligence in becoming educated, taking responsibility for our actions and getting our morals back in line whether you are a Government Official, in the Corporate World or your average Middle Class Joe!

    Dear Nicole
    Read your article Great read. You didn’t take sides. I like the fact of “no blame” this will effect wall street and “main street” people need to understand that.
