Thanks for that great post, Florie! I know who that homeless man is too and hope he has a place to sleep in this cold weather! Your post reminds me of the quote that says: “There once was a man who was sad because he had no shoes until he met a man who had no feet!” Thanks again for your reminder!

Thanks for your words reminding us all of what’s really important. I saw on the news this morning that more than 80 homeless people have died this year alone in Santa Clara county – a staggering number. I’m sure it’s probably much worse in colder parts of our nation, esp where they’ve been experiencing power outages. I, for one, have so much to be grateful for and hope to find more ways to help others less fortunate.

thank you Florie, your words are so true and so often forgotten, I am reminded by the truth, you don’t have to have money or buy stuff, (my words) but we all have things at home that we consider a pain, or taking space that others would be so thankful to receive. i once read that if everyone contributed one dollar, over 10,000 people would be not be hungry for a week, and that was only in the bay area.
