San Francisco Giants World Series Trophy is Coming to Daly City
The San Francisco Giants World Series Championship Trophy is coming to Daly City from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011. Giants fans can get an up-close view of the trophy when it comes to City Hall, 333 90th Street. This once in a lifetime opportunity is free to the public. Parking around the Daly City Civic Center is limited, so fans are encouraged to carpool or take public transit (SamTrans Route 121 stops at Edgeworth Avenue and 90th Street).
“For more than 52 years, our dedicated fans have supported us through thick and thin,” said Giants Managing General Partner and CEO Bill Neukom. “The trophy belongs to them as much as it belongs to us, and we want to thank our fans by extending the World Champions celebration throughout Giants country.”
Since this is a first for the Giants, they are not sure how many people will visit the trophy, but initial “viewing” parties were tremendously popular with fans. The Giants are going to do their best to accommodate everybody, but the lines will be managed on a first-come, Read more

How to Lower Your Property Tax?
This is no April Fool’s Day joke! When home values go south, one positive thing for current homeowners may be the chance to lower their property tax. You might have seen advertisements that offer to lower your property tax for a fee anywhere from $100-$300…don’t be fooled!!!…Did you know that you can lower your property tax for FREE (or just a small amount for filing fee)? And, it’s simple to do!
First, download the property tax appeal application from your county’s tax assessor office (see links below). Print out the form and complete the information about your property. You will be able to find all of the information needed on your property tax bill. Some counties websites allow you to submit the form online. Read more
Learning to Budget! Kudos To The Teacher.
As many of you are aware my Prudential office in San Bruno, Ca. is the largest single independent Prudential office in the country. We are very progressive and have kiosk in several of the regional malls in the area. As I had my shift just before the holidays, a young boy, I’d say about 12 or 13 was looking at some listings. I let him look for a while and then approached. He told me he was 30 years old and looking for a rental for his family of 4 with a $60,000 annual income. I did a double take and he explained he had a home work assignment to balance a family budget including housing. I helped him find a few rental homes in the area. The reason for me writing about this, I thought it was a great assignment; Reality, Life. I think this should be taught in detail to all high school seniors and to all purchasing a home. I believe saving should be part of a family budget. The savings could be for a down payment, home maintenance, vacation, rainy day, etc. Read more
Halloween Foreclosed House
I know Halloween is over, but I just remembered to share the photo of an interesting and very creative costume with you. As you know our San Bruno Prudential participated in giving candies out to children at Serramonte and Tanforan Malls as before on Halloween. It was a lot of fun. I saw the “Foreclosed House For Sale” walking and just had to ask him for a picture. The turbulence in housing market has affected many aspects of our lives, including our holidays. I wonder what kind of real estate Christmas ornaments we will see this year.
