Bay Area Real Estate’s – Perfect Storm

December 10, 2008 · · 6 Comments

Perfect Storm = Low Interest Rates, Low Prices, and Lower Inventory.

We have all the ingredients.

If you have been waiting for prices to stabilize you are on the cusp of being late.

Homes in Daly City, San Bruno, San Mateo, San Francisco and South San Francisco are selling.  To keep up with the demand Bank of America is falling behind on appraisals and is hiring outside appraisers.  I spoke to a termite inspector yesterday.  He had 5 inspections scheduled for the day.  Need I say we did not speak long.  There is a buzz in my office.  Conference rooms are filled with buyer’s consultations.  Banks dealing with short sales are moving faster and be more aggressively.  If you are a first time home buyer or a seasoned investor; jump in, the buying is great.  It is a PERFECT STORM for you.  Low Prices, Low Interest Rates and Lower Inventory.  Getting a Loan in not impossible

If you are busy with the holidays maybe meet with me (877-Lee Sells) or your favorite realtor just to get updated on the market so you are ready to take advantage of the Best Buyer’s Market in 30 Years come January.

Offer Pricing

November 14, 2008 · · 2 Comments

I have several buyers very confused.  They offered the asking price for a Daly City home but were outbid by $50,000.  This is not supposed to happen in a today’s buyer’s market.  The low price is a marketing tool and not a realistic list price.  I explained before making a purchase offer, buyers must determine the true present market value. http://www.pruvoices.com/2008/10/what-is-market-value/   Read more

10 Reasons to buy a home in San Bruno

October 28, 2008 · · 3 Comments

I wrote something like this before but it’s been awhile! I am partial to San Bruno because I live here and my office is here as well, Prudential California Realty, San Bruno. My kids go to school within walking distance from our house, my office is only 8 blocks away, the corner store is 4 blocks away, and if we need to go San Francisco, it’s only 10 minutes away! So that would be the number one reason to buy a house in San Bruno because a home near San Francisco is desirable because a lot of people work there and don’t want a long commute, so…. Read more

10 Reasons you should NOT buy a house in 2008!

August 25, 2008 · · Comment here

1.  You don’t feel like taking advantage of GREAT opportunities while prices have stabilized.

2.  You enjoy renting over owning your own home.

3.  You believe in buying HIGH and selling LOW rather than what experts suggest which is buy low and sell high. Duh!

4.  Your  accountant told you that you have enough tax write offs.

5.  You don’t believe you can build equity if you buy at the bottom of the market. Read more

Last month I attended the Inman Real Estate Conference at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. It was so cool because I got to listen to different panels of experts talk about the state of the real estate market, new and improved real estate technology, and a lot about blogging and websites. Can you really buy a house at the San Mateo County Fair?

August 12, 2008 · · Comment here

The San Mateo County Fair runs from Aug. 8th- Aug. 17. Our office has a booth and we have been really busy answering questions about  home prices, loans, REO’s, short sales and all kinds of stuff! Its a casual environment not like the tidy, quiet and clean office we’re accustomed to. Its fun to chat with people at the fair because the atmosphere is not so “closed in”. We have a binder of homes for sale that fair goers can flip through and get a good idea of what homes are selling for in their favorite neighborhoods. Come join us at the fair! We’ll even sign you up to win an iPod nano!

If you haven’t been to San Bruno’s August concerts in San Bruno Park, then you don’t know what you’re missing! This is a great opportunity to meet San Bruno people, see friend’s from school or the neighborhood, and relax.

Children are invited. Families and friends bring dinner or snacks. We lay out big blankets to sit on and enjoy the night away. The weather is always pleasant until the sun goes down so it’s best to bring along some sweatshirts!
